چکیده

INTRODUCTION: The first steps towards Parallel Imaging were made from 1987 on [1]-[5]. Since the introduction of the first clinical examples with SMASH and SENSE by Sodickson [6] and Pruessman [8] it still took several years until the first vendor implementations for Parallel Imaging came up. Siemens introduced the integrated Parallel Acquisition Techniques (iPAT) for the MAGNETOM Sonata, Symphony and Harmony scanners in 2001. Prerequisites for Parallel Imaging to find broad acceptance in the clinical environment are robust and fast image reconstruction, flexibility in spatial orientation, and ease of use. The keys to obtaining these goals are:

Comparison of two-dimensional strain analysis using vendor-independent and vendor-specific software in adult and pediatric patients

INTRODUCTION Two-dimensional strain analysis is a powerful analysis modality, however, clinical utilization has been limited by variability between different analysis systems and operators. We compared strain in adults and children using vendor-specific and vendor-independent software to evaluate variability. METHODS One hundred and ten subjects (50/110 pediatric, 80/110 normal left ventricul...

Multi-vendor, multicentre comparison of contrast-enhanced SSFP and T2-STIR CMR for determining myocardium at risk in ST-elevation myocardial infarction

AIMS Myocardial salvage, determined by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), is used as end point in cardioprotection trials. To calculate myocardial salvage, infarct size is related to myocardium at risk (MaR), which can be assessed by T2-short tau inversion recovery (T2-STIR) and contrast-enhanced steady-state free precession magnetic resonance imaging (CE-SSFP). We aimed to determine how...
